About

Cricket, taken apart.

CricBreakdown started with a simple frustration: most cricket coverage tells you the score, then moves on. It rarely stops to explain why a match actually swung the way it did, or whether a team's auction strategy holds up once you look past the headline signings.

This site is written by Ansar, a cricket fan who follows the IPL and world cricket closely and wanted a place to dig into the stats and stories that don't fit into a scorecard — team-by-team breakdowns, bowling and batting analysis, auction economics, and the history that gives current form its context.

What you'll find here

  • Stat-led breakdowns of IPL teams, seasons, and auctions
  • Bowling and batting analysis that goes beyond highlight reels
  • Cricket history and retrospectives

What this site isn't

CricBreakdown is not a live-score or breaking-news site — for that, ESPNcricinfo and Cricbuzz do a great job already. This is a place for the analysis you read after the scoreline, not instead of it.

CricBreakdown is independent fan commentary and analysis. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the BCCI, ICC, IPL, or any cricket franchise mentioned on this site.
